Cold press castor oil

Cold press castor oil

Cold-pressed castor oil is a pure, nutrient-dense, and chemical-free oil extracted mechanically at low temperatures, preserving its high levels of ricinoleic acid, vitamin E, and omega fatty acids. It is widely used for various health and beauty applications, including enhancing hair growth, moisturizing skin, and as a natural laxative.Refined castor oil is a highly purified form of crude castor oil, processed to achieve a clear appearance, neutral odor, and exceptional stability. In 2026, it remains a critical raw material for high-precision industries including pharmaceuticals, advanced cosmetics, and high-performance lubricants.

Extraction Process

Cold-pressed castor oil is produced using a traditional and mechanical method that avoids the use of heat or chemical solvents.

Seed Selection and Cleaning: The process begins with selecting high-grade castor seeds, which are then cleaned and sorted to remove any impurities.

Mechanical Pressing: The cleaned seeds are crushed and pressed using a hydraulic or screw press. The temperature is maintained below 60°C (140°F), often around room temperature, to ensure the heat-sensitive compounds are not lost or degraded.

Filtration: The resulting oil is then simply filtered to remove any solid particles, producing a pure, unrefined, and pale yellow to golden-colored oil with a mild, earthy aroma and thick consistency.

Natural Purity: Because it is made without heat or chemicals, it is considered the “virgin” form of the oil.

Beauty Benefits: It is the preferred choice for hair regrowth, thick eyebrows, and deep skin moisturization because its scalp-stimulating compounds remain intact.

Health Uses: Often used in Ayurvedic medicine and for natural laxative purposes.
